Zoe Diana Draelos, MD, FAAD, High Point, NC
Zoe Diana Draelos, M. D., is a practicing board-certified dermatologist and serves on the board of directors for the American Academy of Dermatology with a research interest in cosmetics, toiletries, and biologically active skin medications. She is in solo private practice in High Point, North Carolina, and a clinical associate professor of dermatology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In 1988, she founded Dermatology Consulting Services to provide education, perform adverse reaction evaluation, and conduct clinical studies in association with the industry. Dr. Draelos has also worked extensively with Nu Skin to create the Nu Skin® Profiler and conducted clinical research on the use of Tru FaceTM Revealing Gel with Polishing Peel,TM as well as studies on Tru FaceTM Line Corrector and Tru FaceTM IdealEyes®. Prior to pursuing a medical career, Dr. Draelos completed an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering and was elected a Rhodes Scholar. A member of Sigma Xi research honorary and Alpha Omega Alpha medical honorary, she is author of the textbook Cosmetics in Dermatology, now in its second edition, has contributed chapters on cosmetics to 23 textbooks, written 260 published papers, and currently serves on 5 journal editorial boards.
