Hair Foundation Donors And Partners

The Hair Foundation is grateful for the support of our volunteers, donors, and industry and non-profit partners who are helping to fulfill the mission of the Hair Foundation to promote consumer awareness and to provide unbiased, truthful information about hair.

Our Volunteers

The Hair Foundation thanks the numerous physicians, researchers, and scientists who have volunteered their time and expertise, in particular, the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery for making this vision a reality.

Our Partners

Nationally, the Hair Foundation combines the power of the Foundation (Hair Industry) with major corporate donors, respected foundations, non-profit partners and caring individuals, such as our physician partners, to help raise awareness and funds for significant hair health concerns as well as public outreach and educational causes.

The Foundation is comprised of three distinct councils which is the platform for the various sectors in the hair industry to work together on mutually identified issues and goals. These councils not only share information, but also act as a system of check and balance in providing sound, scientific information on hair.

The entire organization is served and informed by a Scientific Advisory Council (SAC), whose mission is to examine and explain scientific claims of hair products and treatments for consumers, an Allied Organizations Council (AOC), a council comprised of non-profit organizations that advances public awareness and enhances public perception of the hair industry through collaboration, and an Industry Advisory Council (IAC), whose mission is to encourage and support consumer education and public outreach programs that increase the public's awareness of hair health and to coordinate the financial support from industry for the Foundation's educational, outreach and research projects.

Founded in 1924, the AACS is a national, non-profit association open to all privately owned schools of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences. AACS specializes in updating members with information about new teaching methods, current industry events, and political changes that affect cosmetology schools and education. They do this through a series of seminars, conferences and conventions held throughout the year.

Most of all, AACS members act as a family, often helping each other with addressing problems facing beauty education. This "networking" is often listed as the most important benefit to membership.
